Provided by YP.comI remember when Charley's was originally located in Eagle Bluff. We would go there for pizza after school events or church and that was the late 70s/early 80s. Here it is 2011 and I can think of no better place to go for pizza. I no longer live in the area, but my parents do and everyone knows when I come to town we are having Charley's pizza.
I have friends that we brought to the area for a visit and they insisted that we go to Charley's (like it took a lot of convincing) so they could check it out. They agreed that it was the best they have had. I know everyone has their preference and some may have had a bad or less than spectacular experience - but I can't relate to those people :)
One Thanksgiving my extended family gathered in a cabin in the Pigeon Forge area and when we were planning the menu I suggested that we pick up un-cooked pizza from Charley's and then bake them ourselves for our Thanksgiving meal. Everyone loved the idea and that's what we did - it was WONDERFUL! I have since had my parents pick up un-cooked Charley's and put it on ice for the drive to Nashville so we can bake it and eat it at my house.
It's not often you can find a local pizza parlor that is able to stand the test of time. Charley's is one of those rare finds. They have many choices on the menu so everyone should be able to find something.
Ok - ok - so the actual restaurant could use some updating, but that's part of the ambiance. Accept it and be happy with the GREAT TASTING pizza (my favorite - Charley's special minus onion)
:)
