Breathitt County High School provides educational and enrichment programs to more than 600 students in grades nine through 12. The school provides a variety of clubs and organizations, such as student council, art club, athletic club, concert band, yearbook, choir and orchestra. It has a counseling center that provides information on career planning, scholarship, financial aid, tutoring opportunities and college information. The school has a media center that offers a collection of search engines, educational Web sites, research tools and books to students. It offers academic courses in various subjects, including business, English, math, science, social studies, technology, art, music, health and physical education. Breathitt County High School is operated by the Breathitt County Schools and located in Jackson, Ky.
