Brown's is a real family business owned by a real family here in Jackson County. Their customer service beats the corporate chain stores. I can only imagine the thankless position of jumping through hoops for insurance companies. These regulations tend to stress out the little guys and favor the big corporate chain stores who can dedicate teams of people to the task of filling out forms and haggling with insurance companies. As a customer and a contractor working for browns I can assure you that every customer is a real person and every paper that crosses each desk includes the name of someone they care about delivering healthcare and treating. If you have visited the store you can see that they don't spend (waste) money on bells and whistles. Every penny goes into taking care of patients and keeping costs down and standards high. As a customer I know that when dad calls for supplies they are sure to get him what he needs whither he is here in Jackson county or if they ship his items down in Florida for the winter.

I have dealt with Brown's for YEARS !! Have had excellent service, very knowledgeable employees with friendly attitudes, and have been extremely pleased with this company, ALWAYS!!
They are absolutely willing to go the extra mile for customers and that means so much when one is debilitated with serious illness!
I'd recommend these health providers to EVERYONE!

I have received faulty equipment. Used pieces that came to me in a paper bag that should have been sterile and in sealed plastic (with a piece missing). The employees are rude and condescending. I have referred two other possible customers to other providers and I would never use Brown's again.

This company has been horrible with customer care. 3 years in row for Thanksgiving they have sent me to travel with faulty equipment. The first year they were going to overnight another machine to me, after a 2 week vacation, it never arrived and I spent the entire trip inside with a larger machine. Now this year, the machine stopped working. I was forced to drive 2 hours and pay almost $3,000 for a machine. When they tested the machine on my trip from Browns, they said there werected so many issues with the device. When I called Browns to ask for a return shipping label so I didn't have to travel with 2 devices, they told me it was my responsibility, they couldn't help. They even swore on the phone and their employee spoke about my care in front of her children. My personal HIPAA information. This is the worst company for customer service and care!
