Agape Fellowship Church was started by Pastor John and Carol Hancock on October 22, 1983 with 23 adults who met for our first meeting at the home of Ed and Pam Nissen.A short time later we moved to a small motel banquet room in the Best Western Hotel on I-55 North in Jackson. Needing more room, we then moved to the former Mississippi Baptist High School on Boling Street.In May 1987 we purchased and moved to the former Magnolia Academy located on Magnolia Road in Jackson. We were at that location for 13 years: and while there, we started Magnolia daycare and housed Covenant Christian High School.
