Of all the Cups in the Metro Jackson area this one rapidly became my least favorite. WHY? Well for one the place stinks something horrible. I understand coffee houses have a strong smell but if you spend more than 5 minutes at this location you’ll spend the rest of the day smelling like you washed your hair in a Port-O-John. The other problem I have is all the socialite slash hippy slash wannabe trendsetters that lurch around in the parking lot like they’re a permanent fixture on Haight Ashbury awaiting a daily dose from the methadone dispensary. With so many transients and homeless folk walking about there is little doubt people are here for more than just a cup of coffee and biscotti. Cups in the Quarter—much nicer, fewer freaks and greater opportunity your car will still be in the parking lot when you return.
