This is a great gym if you are a beginner or are old or have serious health issues. The pool is warm and shallow, the parking is covered, and the machines are plentiful. If you are a weightlifter, Olympic lifter or power lifter or otherwise serious about bodybuilding stay away! The free weight section is a joke and chalk is frowned upon. People sit and chat on the benches and the one rack is so close to the Smith Machine it's clear they never expect them to be used at the same time. Also if you utilize the pool watch out for Mary, she doesn't want anyone in there unless they are in her class and she really doesn't care that you paid the same as others for that access. Having said that though the other instructor, Beth is a sweet as she can be. But the trainers are aggressive, they are not free like at the Y and they will interrupt your workout to give you an advertisement. However, the ramp to the pool is very accommodating for the disabled and the hot tub is large and actually hot. It is also rather fat friendly, the showers are large and accommodating for both fat and disabled people, they go to great lengths to keep things safe and fairly clean as well.
