Provided by YP.comThis place was average. The wait staff was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner; however the food tasted really bland. We were told that the company was still adjusting recipes but you pretty much get an understanding on the style of preparation they are going to have. I’d have to try this place again in 3 to 5 months before I could honestly recommend it to others.
Oysters
We ordered two different types: The Alabama White BBQ Sauce and the Butter & Garlic. The oysters are prepared in a wood fire oven as opposed to being prepared charbroiled. This cooking style definitely made a difference in the overall taste. Both styles just okay but definitely not worth recommending or trying again. The Alabama White BBQ ones actually tasted a little better than the Butter & Garlic.
Catfish & Chips
The fish tasted good. It was beer battered (like Captain D’s) and I was informed that upfront, but not sure how many people really like this style an over traditional cornmeal breading. The chips were French fries.
Low Country Boil
This was a traditional boil, consisting of shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. The shrimp were very large. This dish would have been way better if it had more seasoning. If ordering, suggest heavy seasoning.
Nashville Hot Chicken
This was the better dish of the visit. I love spicy food and description was very accurate. However, the balance of spice to flavor was great. This dish is not for everyone but it’s one of the better entrees. I’d order this again.
