Jerry and his sons built my husband's last home approximately 20 years ago. He had a great experience with them and incredible quality of work. So when we decided to build a new Victorian house, we again chose Jerry and Barratt Builders. Jerry and his sons are honest, trustworthy and incredibly talented Craftsmen. They will not settle for anything less than perfection. In addition to being a builder, Jerry is a finish carpenter by trade. He has taught his craft to his sons and they are all masters at their workmanship. Of course, as with any project where you have to line up talented subcontractors who are also Craftsmen, you may have to wait for their schedules to open up. And in our case, we were also delayed by unforseen circumstances like having to "root rake" the ground under the home and additional time and expenses caused by the demands of building inspectors. Jerry was flexible and willing to collaborate with us on changes, enhancements and in-progress upgrades that vastly improved the end results. So our home was not completed on schedule, but we were more than willing to be flexible to achieve a better result... and unlike many builders, Jerry was, too. Let me say again... THE WORKMANSHIP AND CRAFTSMANSHIP IN THIS HOUSE IS INCREDIBLE!!! Our intention was to build a new house that looked like an old house, inside and out, and many people who come here for the first time are shocked to learn it's NOT a renovated old house. Barratt remodeled my house. from the first few months, the roof has leaked and three years later all I get is the run around. Tonight the bathroom plumbing started to leak. When I have called him to fix a problem, I am lucky if he shows up after I have called multiple times. I am constantly flipping breaker switches because of faulty electrical work. Getting him to fix these problems is impossible. UPDATE. Last week one of the fluorescent bulbs in the kitchen burned out and the kicker is, it looks as if I have to disassemble the custom light fixture to replace the bulb. I called him a week ago and I got the usual NO RESPONSE

called, emailed and texted. Still have leaky roof and other problems. No response from Barratt or just more excuses.

A+ Company does amazing work! Very high quality and trust worthy work. Jerry the owner is a great guy, when I get ready to build my custom home I want him to be the one to do everything.
