Provided by YPmobileWorst experience ever for a oil change or car wash. First off the grease monkey (only using that term because he couldn't qualify as a mechanic) stripped my oil plug, and the shop manager came to me and said the last guy must of done that, and I told him that I was the only one other than them that had changed my oil, and it was good when I brought it in, after talking to a manager they fixed it. Then paid for the interior detail, lets just say my kids do a better job for five dollars. I will never go back, don't waste your time or money.

Provided by YP.comI visited Car Spa on Monument Road March 6th 2011. I went in for their 19.99 special oil change and exterior car wash. I got their at 2:45 pm they pulled my car into the bay and started the service while I watched from the customer window from inside. It looked as if they were almost done when one employee got into my vehicle and started it up. At that time about 2 to 3 quarts of oil spilled from the under carriage of my vehicle. I ran outside to find out what happened. I asked them three times whats wrong. They did not answer me. I went and got the manager from the wash side in which I did not know at the time was just the car wash manager and not the lube manager. When he came in I told him what had happened and that no one was giving me an answer. He then proceeded to ask them what happened at that time they said they put an oil filter on that did not have a gasket. After fixing the issue they sent my 2004 Chrysler through the car wash. When it came out I popped the hood to check the oil to ensure that they topped it off. I looked down and their was oil everywhere all under the engine and all over the under carriage. Not satisfied I made them take it back into the bay to clean it off. The lube manager Micheal went into the pit to clean it at my request. He then said there was a drop of oil coming from the oil plug. He then removed the plug and drained the oil again. After doing so he tried to thread a larger oil plug into the drain and could not get it in all the way. He then took the plug out and said that the plug was stripped. He brought me down into the pit to show me and then changed his story to the pan was stripped. He said that he would have to place a temp plug in until I could get it to a shop to get the problem fixed. I asked him to put the original plug back into the pan and I was going to get it looked at. After placing the original plug back into the pan he said that it would not tighten. He then implied that it was stripped when they originally took the plug out the 1st time. I argued the fact that if it was like that the first time how did it make it through the car wash with the plug in to begin with. And if this is the case why wasn't this brought to my attention to begin with. He could not answer that and I asked that he get it done and let me get on my way. He then told me that he had a couple other things he had to do 1st. I replied at that time that I had been here over an hour now are you kidding. I then watched as he helped people that were pulling up to the bays for service. I got heated and asked for the manager of the wash side again Darron. Darron came over and at that time told me that he was not the lube manager and that he was doing me a favor helping me out. I then proceeded to say that this was bullshyt. He replied I am trying to help you don't curse at me. I replied I did not curse at you I said this is BS. Is this not BS? I got him to refund my money and took my car down to Tires Plus. They confirmed that my oil pan was aluminum and that placing an over sized plug into would strip the pan drain. The only way to fix this is to replace the pan. Only a steel pan could be re-threaded. I called Car Spa today and placed my complaint at their corporate offices at 3:30 pm. They asked me what would be an unacceptable amount of time to receive a response on the matter. I told her that this is a pretty serious complaint that is going to cost over $700 to repair on my vehicle and that 15min in my book is too long to wait for a response. It is now 5pm and still no response. If this is the manner in which they conduct business I do not recommend Car Spa to anyone!!!! I am going to keep placing comments to keep everyone informed on how this process unfolds. Oh by the way the people at Tires Plus also stated that this is not the first one that they will replace from Car Spa. They have history it seems!!!
Gary - this issue was resolved, and though it took a little longer than 15 minutes, I believe we took care of everything to your satisfaction. As far as your comments in regards to Tires Plus, it's simply not true, and just an attempt to bash a company in order to gain a customer, sad, really. I have ran this location for over seven years, and though we have upset some customers we try to resolve every issue. I stand behind all of our services, as do the thousands of customers we serve a month. Hopefully, you will post your thoughts on how the situation was handled after I got involved, as is part of the process on any claim. I look forward to seeing you again!
