Dames Point Marine Terminal is a marine facility operated by the Jacksonville Port Authority in Florida. Also known as JAXPORT, the authority has more than 10 container cranes, on-dock refrigerated and freezer warehousing, and foreign trade zone status. Dames Point Marine Terminal is located on more than 580-acres owned by JAXPORT, and is over 10 miles from the open sea. The terminal stands on the harbor's 41-foot-deep channel, and uses bulk cargoes and separate cruise operations. The terminal has a more than 150-acre container-handling facility that is used by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, a Tokyo-based shipping company that has a 30-year lease agreement with JAXPORT. The facility has two 1,200-foot berths, six post-Panamax container cranes, and other infrastructure that accommodate Mitsui s operations. Dames Point Marine Terminal is located in Jacksonville, Fla.
