Great Find

While visiting the Jacksonville area my husband and I were looking for a place to get some Coconut Soup. Thanks to YP we were led to this restaurant. We have eaten at several Thai restaurants over the years and this was the best Coconut soup we have had ever. The service was excellent. Im sure we will visit again when we come back.

Thank You

Thank You Yellow pages. I don't normally bother with all these ratings, but I had to on this one. Thanks to the Yellow Pages, I found Pattaya Thai. Although I had a little trouble finding it, once there I can only say that in all my travels I have never had better Thai Food. Thank you again, Yellow Pages.

Interesting Observation

I saw an interesting Observation when i was dining food at Pattaya Thai Restaurant.

FOOD IS GREAT.

I dont want to reveal my race, but I noticed that all the Whites are served Entree's in White plates and None White (African-American, Asians) who ever was there was served in Black Plates. I can be thinking in racial way, BUT I CAN NOT EXPLAIN WHEN 2 TEAMS WHICH HAD BOTH WHITES AND NON WHITES GOT THEIR ENTREE'S IN THE RESPECTIVELY COLORED PLATES.

thats so funny....the reasoning behind this is that our black plates are porcelain and do not stain like the white plastic ones..so most the curries which stain plates are served on black plates...and also we use them for contrast, lighter colored foods get put on the plates as well, such as fried rice and padt thai noodles, again for contrast...I am the owner and chef in charge. When we get orders in the kitchen we have no idea who ordered them. We get very busy and have no time for games like that. Hope this answers your quandry......chef soh

Best Thai in Jax - Best restaurant in town!!!!!

I have been in Jax for 6 weeks on business and have had the opportunity to try many different restaurants in town- only personal rule...NO Chains!!!!! This restaurant was one of the first I had tried for dinner and the absolute BEST!!! The drunken noodles are fantastic- highly reccomend. The interior decor, atmosphere and friendly staff truly make the experience. Although the outside may not look like much, you MUST go inside. Would have a special event such as a wedding rehearsal dinner here anytime! My local friends and coworkers had suggested POM's Thai Bistro in San Marco area- went there...not impressed! For the price....the Decor is not as nice, staff not as good and food does not even come close to the taste, and quality of PATTAYA THAI - You have to Check This Place Out :)

Very Good

This was a place we thought we were settling for when we couldnt go to our original choice. It looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but was clean and esthetic once inside. The food and service were excellent and I will continue to go back and suggest this place to others!
