Provided by YPmobilethis place was such bs. I drove 45 minutes with a huge box of clothes, waited 45 minutes in the store for them to "check my stuff", just for them to tell me they wouldn't buy any of it. I'm not even exaggerating my box was the size of a moving box filled with jeans, dresses, shoes, and purses. they told me my items were not teen clothing, out of style, and off brand when most of my stuff wasn't a year old and I had brands like hollister, forever 21, pacsun, ae, etc in there. they told me they were looking for animal print and I clearly had an animal print bag and a couple of shirts. they didn't even look through the whole box. do your freaking job! plus the lady was straight up lied to me and was rude from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. she said she wasn't the one who went through my box when I clearly watched her do it. never going back to that platos. literally had to walk away before I punched the lady right in her face.

Provided by YPmobileI turned in one bag of clothes with no intention of coming out rich. Which was true, 21.85 later. I was told it would be a 25 minute wait, which I did not object. I made a few laps around the store and came back up to the front and waited. After about thirty minutes, I walked back up to the counter to check on the status of what I would be getting back. Apparently me standing there in front of this girl, did not trigger her to tell me my clothes had been looked at and an offer was made fifteen minutes ago. So if was nice not to be notified of that info, as I was STANDING THERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THIS GIRL. I think a lot of people are right about them wanting first dibs on the really good brand items, that's all I could hear them talking about. What was cute, hot, etc. I got the vibe that as they were hanging up gently used clothes that they were better than everyone else. No offense but please, you work at a thrift store and not a high end fashion boutique. Never again.

Provided by YP.comI have heard about Plato's bad service but was desperate to consolidate my shoe collection...for the most part, I was able to sell my shoes to some friends for mine...I gave them a great deal but, actually, I think I received more money from them than Plato's. I ended up giving Plato's a pair of Converse and a pair of Rainbow shoes plus some jewelry (brand new-Arden B and hair clips--jewel rhinestones style)...I didn't mind only getting $26 or $28 plus it went as a credit toward my purse purchases. However, I also took high-name brand shoes...BCBG, Bebe, & Baker's...all were brand new and I even had the box for the BCBG's...all in all it would have been only $43.00!! I took back the high-end shoes and bought some cute purses with the other credit but I do think the last review may have some truth...it almost feels like the girls price everything lower on purpose so that they call first dibs...I only feel this way since they were eyeing my stuff and calling out what they liked and also the fact that I had a chance to look at the store merchandise...they say they are trying to go with current stuff and target their clients' needs...the stuff I was bringing was only bought last Christmas plus it wasn't much different than the heels they were selling...the heels were clubby and sexy and fit the trends. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is really a scam to get the client's stuff cheap so they can sell it for higher or get it for themselves...sounds shady, but it could be true. Just be warned! Other than that, if you look really hard, you can get some cute stuff...I bought 3 purses and a pair of Hollister plaid beach shorts..really cute!

Provided by YP.comService was terrible. I was there to try to sell some items to the store that were in excellent condition (some still had the tags on them). They were all higher end name brand (i.e. Ralph Lauren, BCBG, Guess, Bebe, etc.) for two full bags, including several shoes they were offering me only less than $15.00. The very young girls behind the counter made me wait an hour for them to "evaluate" my clothes. When I recieved everything back (because I wouldn't sell the clothes and shoes to them at such a low price) there was a post-it note on one pair of shoes that one of the workers wanted the pair of shoes (they were offering me $2.00 for BCBG). I would definitely question whether the girls are offering such low prices for the clothes because it seems like they are taking what they want off the top before putting things on the shelf. Further, they had Wet Seal heels on sale for $15.00. Who would paid $15.00 for USED shoes that retail for $20.00. I will NEVER go back again.

Provided by YP.comI went to the Atlantic Blvd location. I turned in my two bags of items to the young girl behind the counter. After waiting 10 minutes, she tells me it would be a 15 minutes wait. I told her I would head out to the store next door and return shortly. I came right back after 5 minutes, and one of my bags went missing. The young girl's excuse was that I am not supposed to leave the store. She should have told me that before I left! On top of that, the whole process of turning in items for cash was very unorganized although they had four young girls working. I never went back.

Provided by YP.comI could buy named brand clothing at discount prices. Yes the clothes are used but they are in great condidtion. I can even bring in my own clothes that I do not wear anymore and get cash or an equal trade. I love the selection as well. They even offer emn's clothes.
