Provided by YP.comMy wife and I have eaten there twice now and also had friends eat there on our recommendation. The first time we ate at the restaurant my wife's brined Tuscany Chicken and my Wild Boar Sausage were delicious and served with polenta and a melange of tasty vegetables. The wines are good and the owners friendly. Prices are quite high for our dining market.
Our first thought on leaving was "we have a new Italian restaurant to go to." Wow, what a difference a second visit would make.
I never asked if they'd changed chefs after eating their the second time but that could be the only explanation for the poorly prepared dish we both had. Because the brined chicken was overly brined that day, our waiter suggested their Veal Piccata special. When they arrived and we tasted them we were disappointed although they were edible. The veal had not been lightly dredged in flour but had been dipped in egg then dredged through flour making a thick smushy crust that slipped off of the veal. In addition, there was no evidence of a light lemony flavor just an overwhelming reduced chicken broth taste. The coup de grĂ¢ce was that we hadn't asked the price of the special and we were presented with a $28 per plate price. To be fair though, when we complained, the owner refunded us $10 per plate.
All this to say that the 1st time we loved it, the second we didn't. To be fair, we'll go back one more time then write about that visit.
Oh, about our friends that went... Two of the six at their table were very disappointed with their meals.
