Provided by YP.comi went in for an oil change because i had a coupon. the oil change went well and while it was on the lift, the manager told me that my rear brake pads had worn down and they needed to be replaced soon or the rotors would be damaged. he quoted me a price of $200.00. i was not prepared to pay this on the day of the oil change and also thought the price was a little high just for pads. i went to Doc Auto's on Sunbeam Rd the following week (they had quoted me a price of $129.00 over the phone). the owner took one look at my brakes and told me that i had plenty of life left on the pads. bottom line: dont trust this tire kingdom and Doc Auto's has a new customer.

Provided by YP.comSo my husband had an isssue with his brakes squealing. Nothing major, it just annoyed him. He had his brake pads replaced and the squealing was even worse. This could have been due to the fact that the brake pads were new, so when he went back to Tire Kingdom they told him to give it a couple of weeks and the squealing should stop. We drove the car over 1000 miles within a couple of weeks (we took a road trip) and the brakes were still squealing. We took the car back to Tire Kingdom and they replaced them again. We left Tire Kingdom and by the time we got into our apartments (about 10 minutes down the road), not only were the brakes STILL squealing...but there was a rattle. We immediately turned the car around and went back to Tire Kingdom. The guy rode around in the car with my husband and they took everything apart again. They said it was "loose bearings." They claimed that this happened over time, which was odd because it was not a gradual rattle. It was a very noticeable rattle that happened right after they worked on our car. So a couple of weeks went by and I received a call from my husband one afternoon while I was at work. Apparently his brake fell apart while he was going about 70mph. Luckily, he was able to gain control of the car and pull over to the side of the road. He was not happy when I spoke with him. He was standing on the side of a very busy interstate in the rain waiting on a tow truck. The car went back to Tire Kingdom...again. They supposedly fixed his brakes...again. Needless to say, the brakes are still squeeling.
