Provided by YP.comThe new yogurt co. on San Jose Blvd. is dark and never looks open. There is never anyone in there, I don't feel safe going in there. The yogurt is expensive and the coupons only encourage you to buy more which costs more. I would never go back. I pity the workers who always are alone! Don't the owners care about their safety????
Hi cruisemama- I never like to come across a negative review of my business and when I do my first instinct is usually to get defensive and list off all the reasons the reviewer is wrong. : ) In this particular situation, however, I have to say that your comments about the darkness of the shop were 100% accurate and I can certainly understand how this may have made you feel uncomfortable or even unsafe. I also sincerely appreciate your concern for the safety of our closing employees- which include my wife and myself from time to time- and I assure you that no one cares more her safety- or any of their safety than I do! I guess my only defense is that we were still relatively new at the time (we opened in October) and I didn't really have everything together as much as I would have liked. I would like to let you know that in the time since you made your review we have added 6 new bright new chandeliers inside the shop as well as added two bright new fixtures outside on our patio to brighten the place up. Our building owner was also kind enough to fix the timer's on our parking lot lights that were shutting off too early in the evening after the day light savings change over. With these changes I can honestly say that it looks like an entirely different place- much brighter, safer, and inviting, the way a frozen yogurt shop should look! I would also like to assure you that we have a top notch security system that can be activated with the touch of a button and I don’t believe that safety is a concern with any of our employees at this time. As for our coupons being designed to “encourage customers to buy more, which costs more” and the yogurt being too expensive, I apologize that the experience left with that impression. I designed the coupons with only one goal in mind: to give people an incentive to come into our store and try out our product for the first time. If you left feeling tricked into spending more money than you anticipated I didn’t do a very good job I do apologize for that. We are constantly fine tuning those sorts of things and I will definitely take that into consideration for any advertising or couponing campaigns we may undertake in the future. Regarding prices- we price our yogurt as low as we possibly can while still being able to use top quality ingredients and I think if you look around you will find that we are on the same price level as most other frozen yogurt shops. I’d also like to let you know some of the things that set our frozen yogurt apart from the others are that it’s made with all- natural ingredients and contains no artificial coloring, it’s loaded with live and active cultures and all of our flavors are either fat- free or low fat. We really believe that our products and prices offer a great value for all the good things that go into (and bad things that don’t) our frozen yogurt. Sorry if I got a little long winded, I just wanted to make sure I got to all of your concerns. I hope that you are able to give us another try sometime in the near future and welcome any other constructive suggestions you may have to help us improve our business. Yours, Kyle Turner [email protected]
