MALPRACTICE

Funny, how there was not a single positive review here until someone came forward with the truth about this heartless incompetent beast. Not only is she absolutely unprofessional and inexperienced, but apparently a fraudulent liar, attempting to get her friends to write positive reviews to cover up her crimes. No, "BuffaloProfessor" you don't know me. I don't want "something for nothing". I do however expect to not be injured worse than any injury i had previously by someone who I am paying to help heal injuries. It is completely unacceptable for a "massage therapist" to be joking how much pain she's going to see i can take, then suddenly yank my leg behind my head and damage my knee. It is completely unacceptable to then accuse me of trying to "get something for nothing", rather than salvaging some sort of professionalism, standing behind your work, and correcting your error. It is completely unacceptable for me to be dealing with this nagging injury inflicted by the malpractice of Rebekah Saylor several months later. How am I trying to "get something for nothing"? The only benefit of me taking the time to write this review is to benefit others who could potentially fall into this woman's trap, leaving in far worse shape than before encountering her, and having insult added to injury if they attempt to have a problem directly caused by her addressed in a reasonable and fair manner. If she were trustworthy and competent, we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place. How is getting an injury that did not exist before Rebekah carelessly inflicted it addressed by her "getting something for nothing"? Where is the logic in that? The last thing I ever wanted was to have to invest my valuable time and energy in rehabilitating an injury caused by Rebekah. Whether she was rectifying her error as a professional or I had to work on it on my own, it's still a waste of my energetic resources and time. If anyone would like the name of a top tier Professional massage therapist in Jacksonville, by someone who has first hand experience with the best and the worst in the profession, feel free to contact me directly.

Awesome at her job!

I have been in pain from my sciatica nerve for a week and a half. Rebekah did a WONDERFUL job helping me and getting rid of my pain for sometime. She does a fantastic job giving deep tissue massages . I have going to her for about a year now. I would recommend her to anyone who ask.!!!

Bliss

A friend of mine recommended this person after she got free massages at the local organic market. I came in with a lot of issues and pain in my shoulder. Rebekah was very knowledgable and walked me through everything she was doing and why she was doing it when I asked. As my schedule is very busy she was more than willing to help accomodate. I drank a lot of water like she said and the next day I was a bit sore but it was a sore from finally releasing tention I had been holding for years (kinda like when you put down something heavy your muscles might be sore but it is a good thing). I had never had a massage before and she was amazing and professional. If other people had problems it was probably because they did not communicate when something hurt (as of course only you can know your own body) or did not follow through with after care. Not only did I tell her how I was doing she asked me often. She is amazing and totally worth the money!

Best in Jacksonville!

I was very happy to find Rebekah when I came to Jacksonville. She was performing free demo massages at the local organic market and I tried one to see how I would like it. I ended up going to see her multiple times after that! She helped me fix crooks in my neck, pain in my back I have from having a swayback, and just overall was amazing. She was fun and friendly, I would highly recommend her to anyone who asked. I'm sorry to see that there is someone else who disagreed, but the level of customer service I have seen from Rebekah leads me to believe anyone with a true complaint isn't telling the whole of the situation. She is definitely the type to try and rectify things if she had an unhappy customer. She also makes sugar scrubs that are blissfully amazing!!5 stars, check her out!!!

Excellent Service

I have utilized the services of The Amberdragonfly numerous times and have found Rebecca to be extremely knowledgeable and competent in her techniques and abilities. If you are in pain, I highly recommend her services. As far as the allegations in the previous remarks, they are unfounded. I know who this person is that wrote it and he is all about getting something for nothing.

BEWARE

A few months back I made the mistake of trusting Rebekah, who is the lone massage therapist at The Amber Dragonfly, with working on me. I had no serious issues at the time, just some minor back pain, and just wanted a relaxing massage. The first issue I had is that she would not stop talking the entire time. Even when I asked her politely if we could have silence so that I could relax more deeply, she continued to blab on and on about nonsense completely unrelated to the massage. Completely unprofessional and even trying to flirt with me. She was doing thai massage on me and she joked about hurting me and seeing how much pain I could take. Then she yanked my leg way too far and too quickly behind my back as I was laying face down on the mat and something popped in my knee. When I saw her a week later I brought up how my right knee and hip had been hurting very badly since her "massage" she got very defensive and accused me of trying to get free massages. Like I would want more massages from her! At this point I could put barely any weight on that leg and was limping around which was jeopardizing my job as it requires me to be on my feet and physically active on a daily basis. I told her that I needed to see a physical therapist or someone very soon to get back on track and asked about her liability insurance since she was the one who recklessly injured me. At first she tried to tell me that it must just be the weather. She finally agreed to work on the knee and hip herself until it recovered, which I reluctantly agreed to since I wasn't feeling very confident in her ability to not injure me further, let alone improve the situation. But I didn't feel that I had a better option or that it could really be made much worse so I took my chances. She worked on it for two very brief sessions then told me she doesn't care if it ever gets back to 100% and that she wouldn't do anything else to help it. She said it was only hearsay that she injured me so she could get away with it and there's nothing I could do about it. This woman is not to be trusted. She doesn't stand behind her work. She does not care about her clients, only about money. Proceed at your own risk. I hope that this will help at least one person avoid the suffering and disability that I have had to go through on account of this dangerously incompetent woman. It is over 3 months later and I am still dealing with serious pain in that knee and hip and still am unable to put my full weight on it. I am now working with a skilled and qualified massage therapist who has helped, but she tells me that it will take some time to undo the damage done by Rebekah at The Amber Dragonfly. I would recommend for everyone to boycott this establishment as it is the only way a monster like this will learn that she can not injure people like this and carelessly toss them aside while continuing to make the money she loves so dearly.
