P.S. 080 Thurgood Marshall Magnet is affiliated with The New York City Department of Education. It organizes several academic and multimedia publishing programs. The school conducts classes in music, chorus, band, drama, tennis, publishing, bookmaking, mask making, violin playing and architecture. P.S. 080 Thurgood Marshall Magnet maintains a chess club and parent-teacher association. It has educational alliances with the New York City Police Department, Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, Gateway National Recreation Area, Learning Through the Artsand New York City School Volunteers Program, Futurekids and Roy Wilkins Park.
