The SCO Family of Services, formerly known as St. Christopher-Ottilie, is a human services organization with a presence in Jamaica, N.Y. The group serves more than 5,000 children and individuals throughout New York City and Long Island. It provides foster care, shelters for the homeless and schools for children with developmental disabilities. The SCO Family of Services provides therapeutic family-based treatment programs for over 400 emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. Established in 1895, the organization also offers adoption and family enhancement services. Its residential and intermediate care facilities serve developmentally disabled children and adults with traumatic brain injuries. The SCO Family of Services additionally provides homeless and educational programs.
