Dr. Abraham Mathai earned his medical degree and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, from Tulane University. Before becoming a physician, he also completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Emory University. Prior to joining Piedmont, he was a physician at Blue Ridge Medical Center. Dr. Mathai has been practicing medicine for 7 years. He loves seeing patients of all ages (from new born babies to centenarians), focusing on preventative medicine. He enjoys treating conditions across various organ systems including diabetes, high blood pressure, and bronchitis, with an emphasis on a holistic and comprehensive approach. In his spare time, Dr. Mathai likes cricket, soccer, and traveling. He is also a vocalist and loves to sing. Dr. Mathai is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
