Provided by YP.comPLEASE READ!!! Buddy, 9 mos old border
collie/Aussie mix , was rescued from a very rough beginning. I had the best 14 years
of my life with him. My best friend and son who always stayed at my side.
The day he died was the worst day because of what the vet doctors did. I am
still getting nightmares, crying at night still.
When it was Buddy's time to "leave"
from me, it was the hardest thing, but I wanted him to have comfort in his own
home with a sedative before the final injection. I reminded the vet,
Dr. Chester and his wife, to please bring sedative to keep my
baby calm and they agreed. I had two family friends who joined with me
through FaceTime to give support. They were the one who brought Buddy
into my life.
When the time came to "let him go" my
family friends, watching through iPad on FT and I were horrified to see they
didn't bring sedative and I tried to interuppt the process. They didn't
slow down, but to proceed quickly with the death shot. Buddy was scared,
screaming and barking from fear from botched first injection.
I decided to stop the whole thing, but the vets were in
a hurry. I didn't know what was going on. It happened so fast. Buddy
fought so hard. He was paralyzwed from chest down, but he was strong to bark
and to avoid it. I freaked out, I tried talking to the vets and calming
Buddy at the same time. But it was too late as they moved too quickly. Buddy
went from fighting and screaming in the air until his body crashed down,
then suddenly. Boom. I was in a deep shock. Too late.
I lovingly carried my son's
body to their van to be cremated. When the vet opened the van, I was
shocked to see two little kids in the van, staring, getting curious on the
body. It explained why they were in a hurry. I felt angry that I
never had the privacy and respect to let him go with a hug and a good
buy. Nothing. These last memories of his last
moments were UNFORGIVABLE. I cried SO MUCH ever since, my heart
in great pain. It's like watching a horror movie that I couldn't stop.
It keeps rewind and play over and over for me in my
mind.
Never will use them
again.
The vets mixed up
my Buddy with another dog's name on Cremation Certification, pretend not to
recognize me at Home Depot two weeks later after many of our phone calls (very
nice messages) to locate where Buddy's ashes were, having my baby's ashes sent
in Federal Express, etc. I have all the proofs if you need. We live in a
tiny town so it's easy to know each other.
The vet's wife brightly said
Perry's ashes is here. What?!?! I said no, it's Buddy's ashes. She said ok,
well here's the ashes. I prayed hard it's really Buddy's ashes. She also
took 185.00 out of 285.00 charge, leaving me to pay 100.00. I got suspicious
as I wondered if they mix up the ashes, the body or? I was shaking and scared.
They said they didn't have time or ink to get Buddy's paw prints on paper for
me. They kept him in the freezer for 5 days before the cremation person picked
him up. If they return the call, I would happily come and get what is needed
to get it. Five days! Plenty of time. My heart is very broken. They said
Cremation on Tuesday and pick ashes up on Thursday or Friday on the same
week.
