I read the previous review and had to laugh! They obviously don't know anything about german food. Those "tough" noodles they spoke of, they were Spaetzle. They're supposed to be tough! And german potatoes are often "just" pan fried while german food is known for "heavy" sauces. I've been going to Das Stein Haus for years and have never been disappointed. As a tough German to please, I can tell you that the fare offered is authentically Berliner German. The Chef is a 5-Star rated chef, who has cooked in some of the best houses in Europe and New Orleans and it is no more expensive than a trip to your local Apple B's. It's worth at least one trip while you're in town to eat a great meal or to just enjoy the fantastically stocked bar! Prost!

This was the worst food I have had especially for the price. We had their house special and the noodles were over microwaved and tough the meat was even worse. To much sauce which overpowered the suttle flavor that should have been there. Their "german potatoes" were just country fried with out flavor. The meal cost 58.00 which is overprice for a place that was worse than a greasy spoon dinner.

We will never go back.
