The Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (MDVR) is a state division that is maintained by the government of the city of Jefferson City, Miss. The division offers vocational training and evaluation, job placement, and guidance and counseling services. It also provides assessment, legislative issue handling, and medical and psychological care services. In addition, the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation offers assistive technology, evaluation, support and technical training services. The division provides the Independent Living (IL) program, which includes transportation, educational, referral and housing assistance services to individuals with disabilities. It operates under the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which employs more than 1,900 individuals.
