On two different occasions I called the Marion County Chamber of Commerce and each time the employees were polite, helpful, and thorough. My family and I were planning a trip to Jefferson so that my 2 year old son could ride the historical train. I called only asking about this and was given information on other things to do as well that my son might would enjoy. Their business is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30-5:30 so this made them easy to contact. I had a ton of questions and one gentleman named Roger answered everyone one of them and didn't seem to be bothered by my neediness. Roger even gave me the names of restaurants in Jefferson that allow smoking so that we could avoid them, my son has asthma. Needless to say I was very impressed, I am not from Jefferson and the government/county offices in my area are never this helpful or informed.
