Provided by YP.comWorst service I have had in quite a long time! I am from the Dallas area and my sister just moved to Longview. My mom is an avid antique shopper and loves to just browse, so my sister decided that we would spend the day walking around Jefferson and shopping. We got hungry and the only place that was not packed with a waiting list was the Cork Yard. That should have been our first warning! When you walk in there is a small courtyard area that has about 6 tables then inside maybe about 4-5 more tables, but the inside is long and skinny so it is hard to maneuver around. We had my 8 month old nephew in a stroller so we wanted to sit inside. We walked in and one of the waitresses sees us but is too busy standing in the middle of the aisle having some friend reunion. She doesn't move so we can seat ourselves so we had to back the stroller out of the business to find a table outside. She told us to seat ourselves and "someone" would be with us soon. We sat there for 20 minutes with herself and another waitress walking around and talking to every table but ours! FINALLY a very young girl stopped and asked if we had been helped so she brought us menus, then disappeared. We sat there another 10-15 minutes before she came back to get our drink order. Let me stress that at this point we were ready to find another place, but I was so hungry that I was getting dizzy and sick to my stomach because I hadn't eaten since 8:30 that morning and it was now 2:30. Also they were not busy. They had at least 3 waitresses walking around and the amount of tables that were there could have been helped by 1 girl! We finally get our drink order in and order at the same time. This was the last we had anyone stope by our table. We sat there for a full hour with no one stopping by to refill drinks and our food never arrived. We ordered 2 hamburgers and mac n cheese, so nothing that should have taken long! We witnessed the main waitress, the one we ran into upon our arrival, helping 2 other tables. She had an elderly couple at a table that asked for their check 4 times! To this request she kept laughing and saying "oh yes I'm getting that now, haha I guess the 4th times a charm huh"? She never returned with their check, the man had to go inside and pay for their meal because the waitress never returned! After sitting there for over an hour for our food, my sister finally went inside to see how long it was going to take because we were leaving if it was going to take any longer. Miraculously it was ready and out at our table in an instance. The food was not that good, the mac n cheese was so dry you had to have a drink to swallow it! And to top it off, the menu stated the mac n cheese was like $7.99 and we were charged $8.99 for it! We told our very young waitress how disappointed we were and of course she apologized but her excuse was they had a one person kitchen and were really busy! I beg to differ! Again, worst experience I have had in a very long time!
