The hostess is gracious and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. She prepared wonderful breakfasts and gave us information about people and places we should see. She was right! We enjoyed ourselves immensely in the beautiful little Victorian house and slept very comfortably. I can't imagine even entertaining the idea of staying somewhere else any time I am in the Jefferson area.

In October I spent a long weekend at Wise Manor and had a wonderful stay. Sue, our hostess, was friendly, a great cook and her home a delight. She is a native Jeffersonian and has ancestors who were part of its early history. If asked, her stories can enhance your knowledge of this lovely town.

Can count on them

A great bread and breakfast home to stay at when visiting Jefferson Texas. Within walking distance to downtown and very homey rooms.

Like staying at Grandma's

When Katherine Wise was alive, this really was like staying with Grandma. The 2nd floor sports a big bed, and a small one for a youngster. The two-story house has lovely antiques in a homey setting. A moderately long walk downtown, this is one of the first B&B's hosted by the Wise Family. Breakfast is modest. Make reservations at the Excelsior for a real feast.
