Provided by YP.comMy dog was not feeling well and ended up having major gallbladder and liver issues and the ladies at east side got him in the same day and even stayed an hour past closing time to care for him. They were incredibly sweet to my dog and did every possible thing to keep him comfortable. Dr. Gatewood even called me the following day to check up on how he was feeling. It really touched me in a way no vet ever has. I appreciate them all very much and will recommend them in the future. They were priced a little high but I've learned in life you get what you pay for and we would do anything to keep our dog happy and alive.

Provided by YP.comI've been there about 4 times in the past year with my new pup... normal stuff: shots, nueter, etc. The staff's always been super courteous (except that time their "policy" was to force an 80 year old WWII veteran to pay a significant "emergency fee" for not having an appointment after his chihuahua got hit by a car). The doctors have been quite competent. Don't be surprised by the ambitious upsell, as pharmaceutical reps must love this place - notice who paid for the info posters on the walls. I guess that's probably typical these days. $8 per pill of carprofen (doggie advil)? How very hospital of you...

Provided by YP.comI have been a client of Eastside for over 20 years. The staff have been respectful, caring and always helpful. The Veterinarians are caring, sensitive and have gone above and beyond their scope of care. Eastside is also caring for our 2 service dogs @ Southern IN Rehab. I can't speak enough of the excellent care that has not only been given to my pets but to SIRH service dogs. Thank you Eastside for being supportive and caring.

Provided by YP.comBe careful.
If you have a breed that requires special grooming, be sure to bring a picture or be VERY detailed when speaking to the groomer. I took my bichon frise in for grooming and asked for breed standard, and he came out looking like a poodle. Definitely won't return for grooming here. It was also pretty expensive and required a lot of extra tests/vaccines that my vet didn't usually administer. They would not groom without charging me to do these tests. Ended up being over $100. I've paid $30 at other places with much better results.

Provided by YP.comHorrible..will never come again. Expensive, rude and they gave the food i got for my dog to the other dogs. Her container was 90% gone and she weighs less than 10 pounds. I will never EVER EVER come back here. My bill was over $100 for a 3day overnite stay. They failed to mention the $20+fecal sample and told me over the phn "you can bring it in or we can do it" that was it. Avoid them. I wish i could give 0 stars but my dog did look happy. probably just happy 2see me.

Provided by YP.comEastside Animal is unlike any veterinarian clinic I have ever taken my pets to. Mostly because it is not a clinic but truly a hospital and able to offer a huge range of care as needed. It is the cleanest facility I have ever been in as well. The vets offer a wide range of animal care options from dogs and cats to more specialized care of reptiles.
What is the best feature is that the vets and staff people offer many treatment options from simple to highly specialized without any pressure on the owner to spend more money. They lay out treatment options, costs and the pros and cons without bias or judgment so you can make an informed decision as to what is best for your situation. We have had both regular routine care and assistance with treating a chronic problem and truly feel that all options have been clearly presented to us for all levels of care. No pressure to spend more money due to guilt. Really professional and compassionate care on every level.
Thank you for your kind remarks.

Provided by YP.comThis clinic has done it all for me. I was a client at this hospital for about 20 years. The only reason I ever stopped using them is because I moved to Texas this year. They have an excellent staff who really cares about the pets and their owners. They are sensitive to how each owner wants to be treated. While their well-pet care is exceptional, their sick pet care is where they really shine. They do a great job narrowing down indistinct symptoms and finding solutions to health problems. They have very convenient hours of operation... and the truth is... there are very few practices like Eastside in the entire Louisville Metropolitan area. Even when the time comes to make the most awful decisions... the staff was right there with me ... letting me know my choices, the likely outcome, and being supportive of whatever I felt I needed to do. Thank you Eastside. My dogs and I miss having you available to us down here in San Antonio!

Provided by YP.comThis Animal clinic does not seem to use lab results to diagnose the Animals problems. They just start with their best guess and go from there.
We make extensive use of in-house and outsourced lab expertise. We hope you'll give us another try!
