I have used this shop to consign and I must say, because they mark the items at a high but reasonable price, your rate of return is higher. I don't know if I agree with how they don't contact you if you have a check sitting around for several months...or that they charge to pull your items...or that they hang on to the items and sell them out front on their "discount rack"...sometimes there is no love like self love and this chick definitely has a lot of self love. I wouldn't return to consign, but possibly to shop.

The business has a nice selection of delicately worn garb, however they are not very customer service oriented and they seem to forget their consigners are probably their best customers. I've heard the line..."we have over 6000 consigners and we can't (call you, mail your check, automatically pull your items at the end of the term, etc)" so many times, it seems to be their regular protocol and sales pitch. I've even overheard them state it to another customer while I was in the shop. One employee even stated to me, "everyone's just a number to us"....WOW!

At the end of the consignment term (usually 60 days), If you don't call them the exact day, they will donate your items, even if you pre-select on advance paperwork that you don't want them donated. The same paperwork states you supposedly have a week to pickup, though if you didn't call, your items would already be donated by that point and you're out of luck. Then, you must pay (granted a very small fee) to have your items pulled from display at the end of the term, even though they would supposedly be pulled anyways and donated...this part makes no sense!

I wouldn't recommend Bloomingdeals for consigning and I probably won't use them again myself. As for shopping, maybe, but most likely I will not return.
