After living at the Beacon for almost 2 years my experience with ProPark has been sub par and disappointing overall to say the least.

Today, my husband had to take the shuttle to the nearby path station and take a cab ($$) and WALK in 15 degree temperatures just to get his errands taken care of because they had an issue accessing our car. What if it had been an emergency? No respect or concern for their patrons.

We have had damage to our car multiple times! Once due to the construction in and around the garage. They seemed to not show much concern and we ended up having to take care of the problem ourselves. Most recently, our passenger side view mirror was completely taken off--with damage to not only the mirror but the passenger side window and door as well. We had to file a claim, wait for them to review security footage, and finally we were able to repair the damages. The greatest damage done to my car was the seat hinge and latch breaking in the drivers seat, detaching the back from the seat. I am a small and about 5ft tall, I had seen the larger male drivers try to squeeze themselves into my seat setting, rather than move the seat further back. Due to this type of handling repeatedly, the seat broke and was no longer adjustable. We searched for ways to fix it ourselves, researched online, visited several autobody shops and dealerships, went back and forth between getting a whole new seating unit or having the seat repaired (which included the hinge, the automatic controls, wiring, heating, etc.). Finally, when the car became undriveable because I could no longer see without sitting on a cushion, we ended up paying ~$1,500 to repair the seat through a certified Cadillac dealership.

As many other residents can verify, we have ran into the issue of ProPark losing the keys to the car. One time, a valet employee offered to drive me to work in downtown Jersey City in another residents car since I was extremely late--I declined. Last year, when cars were being parked at a further lot, I was driven in another residents car to the lot so that I could identify my car since they couldn't find it. Honestly ridiculous.

On top of all this, there are also the smaller annoyances and inconveniences which shouldn't occur when we are paying such high rates to park. These include things such as long wait times (I've received a text back from ProPark saying my car would be ready in 30-45 minutes!), the radio station and/or volume being changed once I get into the car, rough handling of the car which is evident when we are waiting for the car and see them pulling up or even when you observe the way they handle cars of other residents.

We hope to be out of the Beacon soon and ProPark is definitely a factor in that decision. The hassle and problems are just not worth it for such a simple thing as being able to access, drive, and park our car!
