Provided by YP.comThe Good is what Highland Rim used to be, a beautiful course friendly staff from the owner to the grounds personal.
The Bad,
The name "Nashville National" really! it sounds like an airport or a car rental company or an insurance company and it's name is turning it's nose up to the locals of Joelton and Pleasant View. Prices on everything have been raised food, drinks, and everything in proshop to include greens fees and memberships.
The Ugly, The greens are in the worst shape of any course I have been to, they are ruff and dried out and slow. you can't ever play all 18 because the greens are either damaged or attempting to be repaired by inexperienced staff, not the staffs fault just that the owner is too cheap to pay for professionals. they don't even have a full time Superintendent.
Who wants to fight nashville traffic and drive 40 minutes only to be disappointed and pay more for it. They do have a nice website now but it is riddled with Bait and Switch statements to sucker you in. the website says "Not a single home fronts the course - and never will " yet the first thing you see after passing the Highland Rim logo (which is airbrushed over on the website to read Nashville National) is a run down unmaintained rental house. The website says "new ownership is taking this course and its amenities in a new direction. You'll likely see something new, different, or improved every time you visit" WOW! what a false statement, this place has gone Way Downhill since the new owner has taken over. The pictures of the course on the website are breathtaking but are all from what the previous owners accomplished and maintained. . If you do go beware of what was one of the coolest features of the course The Bridge over the river going to #10 it is now Broken Cracked and has many holes you can see right through it, be careful it is unsafe! Don't take my word for it go see for yourself. If you do i'm sure you won't ever go back.

Provided by YP.comAbsolutely beautiful course! I get out for a round about once or twice a month and call it a good day if I break 100. This course was plenty challenging and there were plenty of tee boxes that were a little intimidating but never did the course cross that line of being ridiculous. It seemed that every hole had a unique feature, whether it was simply scenic or one of the scottish bunkers.
My one star deduction was because the place was pretty soggy. In fairness, we went after 3 days of heavy rain but there were 2 or 3 holes that I ended up in a 3 inch water hazard even though my ball was in the middle of the fairway. Next time I go back will be after a few days of sunshine. Hopefully the course will have dried out a little by then.
