Provided by YP.comMe and my husband are both retirees, we've always had are sights set on traveling after we've raised are kids, prepared them to be out on their own and when we retired, and to have that dream come true is a blessing. So I'd like to think we've had alot of experience on the road and one of the greatest things that I just love about it, is that others that are doing what we are doing become an extension of your family. We've met so many wonderful people through the years and it's such an honor to know that they've become our lifetime friends and it seems where ever we wind up staying we always seem to bump into someone we know, so we have a little get together and get caught up on all the great stuff. I wanted to share that with all of you, whether it's your full time hobby or just a once in a blue moon travel, that in hopes that my review or opinion would be more helpful, insightful and fair coming from people such as ourselves that have been part of the traveling circuit for many years, experiencing staying at so many different campgrounds through out the country and most importantly after reading a disturbing review of OK Campground. Of just recently we were making plans to visit Nashville because we are big Country Music lovers. We've been to TN. before, Bristol, Chattanooga which was so beautiful! In the last year me and my husband have become computer literate with basic knowledge with the urging of our children and their worries for us. At our age safety is definitely at the top of the list! We're so thankful and grateful for them pushing us! This computer has saved us in more ways then one! Anyways we were searching to find a place to stay that was a little bit on the outskirts of town for more peace and tranquility and that's when we landed on this site.
Me and my husband have never personally stayed there, but over the years I've heard a few complaints by others that have stayed, but we didn't put to much thought into it because I've learned that no matter how good a place is you'll always here something bad about it. That's the times when you have to use your own discretion. In the Ok Campground review they state that the ones that had written the review were tenants that were evicted for not paying rent which may be the truth, but that still doesn't justify or change the facts about the SWAT Team being there. (Now that we've got use of a computer.) Well after just recently reading the review, putting together some of the news that we've heard, doing some investigating, making some calls to other traveling friends that are very trusting creditable people it's very disappointing to find out that it was true. The SWAT Team had been there on a few occasions. Apparently there was a man arrested that was wanted in more then a few states. If you contact the right resources you will find that it's public information. About the other disturbing things that may have happened there also, there's no sound evidence but I've come to believe that if the SWAT Team would come, why would you want to stay in a place where something like that happens.
I'm notifying all of you of this becasue I feel a responsiblity to look after our fellow travelers. I feel that us travelers share a unique comradery so anywhere we can be of help to one another I feel it should be made known especially where safety is a concern!, and we are all aware that safety is in the forefront of our society more then ever. If you've had any bad experiences, someone you know, or anything that should be of concerns I hope you please make it aware also. Please always check before you stay somewhere. Continue to enjoy your travels and please be safe :)

Provided by YPmobileAs far as I can see, the owners are nice people, they clean the shower rooms every day, the laundromat is also cleaned every night and it air conditioned! Also, they are not allowed to let campground tenants use the motel pool, because of some state laws, not their fault. The lawns are mowed frequently, the garbage cans are emptied daily, it's not luxury, but it's nice.

Provided by YP.comI would like to bring to the public's attention that the "avidtraveler" failed to mention that they were evicted from the property by the courts, due to the nonpayment of their rent.
OK Campground is a family owned business that is conveniently located 11 miles outside of Nashville and 20 miles from Clarksville with easy access to shopping, restaraunts, etc. This campground is suitable for all ages, short and longterm rates are available. We treat all of our tenants the same and many return on a regular basis to stay with us. It is a very safe and pleasant area with clean showerhouses, laundromat, and friendly neighbors.
Stop in and check us out for yourself on your next visit to Middle Tennessee!!

Provided by YP.comThis campground is ONLY suitable if you can not find any other place available. It's very accessible as far as highway/road location. If you plan on traveling with children be prepared first and foremost for their safety,( reason mentioned below). There are no activities available for children. There's a hotel on property with a swimming pool but you must rent a room in order to have use. Very few places to eat and no shopping malls. If your deciding on long term stay this is definitely not the place. It's a family owned business which is not managed well at all. They do play favoritism. It seems as though most of the long term tenants that are there, they want work from them in exchange for lower rent. It sounds like a superb deal but it's far from that, (They have a motive. They thrive off power and intimidation). If they don't have you under their thumb and you don't fit in the click, they don't want you around and they won't waist any amount of time getting you out. You have no privacy, ( believe me ),eyes are on you at all times. They have tenants that live there that use binoculars to watch your every move. If your stay is brief your not there long enough to notice this repulsive behavior and they know they can not work over short term visitors. Also, keep in mind of one of the most vital matter and that is, it's not the safest place. I know that no matter where you go it's always the inevitable that there will always be something to keep your eye out for but this campground has had some frightening and terrible moments. The Swat Team has been there on a couple occasions, tenants with a long list of felonies, sexual advances against young girls and some other happenings. I sure hope you find this review helpful. AND their monthly fee is $425.00 /$450.00 !! There's other places in the surrounding area of Nashville that are of the same cost if not cheaper that have alot more safety and more benefits for your buck. From an avid traveler I sure hope you take this review to heart.
