Kiawah Island Community Association is a nonprofit corporation that governs Kiawah Island, a private residential resort community. The association is located at Johns Island, S.C. The association maintains various infrastructures, such as roads, lakes and landscapes. The association maintains more than 10,000 acres of land and over 40,000 properties in the Kiawah Island area. It operates various recreation and park facilities, such as Sandcastle Community Center, Rhett s Bluff, Cinder Creek and Eagle Point. Kiawah Island Community Association also provides health, safety and welfare services. Kiawah Island Community Association and governs several golf courses, tennis centers, dinning and shopping facilities. The association comprises various departments, such as the office of the town council, the planning commission, board of zoning and wildlife department.
