The Adventure Program is for teens 13 to 18 who are seeking help with substance abuse and/or psychiatric problems. The intensive outpatient program can be the main treatment program or a follow-up program for youth receiving other treatment. Youth learn to build good peer pressure to support and encourage each other to stay away from using drugs or alcohol during the four- to eight-week program. Staff work with different support services to help in as many treatment areas as possible and build the support the teens needs for success. It's vital for families to be involved in a youth's recovery so families are required to attend at least one family session a week during the programs hours of Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The Adventure Program is partially funded by a grant with the Tennessee Department of Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and United Way of Washington County Tennessee.
