I took my car in to have new brakes placed. Went to pick up car and they broke a part putting on brakes, so I had to wait another day for them to get the part, (they did not charge me for the broken part). I had to go out of town to work the next day. I was in Oklahoma and the brakes started squeeking. The sound was terrible. I drove back to JC and they looked at the brakes. I was told the lubricant was gone so they put new lubricant. Again, the brakes started squeeking, so I took it to another place. Got new brakes again as Gordons "cut the rotary too short" . Paid Gordons 500.00 in August 2013 and Paid other company 300.00 in Dec. 2013. Total cost over 800.00 for Brakes. Very disappointed with Gordons work. The people are nice but the work not so much.

I took my car here to have the oil pressure checked, and ended up being told I needed several things fixed that I didn't quite understand. I was way underquoted on the price and when I came to pick up my car I had been charged $50 for an oil change, $20 for an $11 valve cover gasket, and $80 for the labor that took twenty minutes. Without driving more than a mile, smoke was pouring out from under my hood so I pulled over to check. My valve cover had been broken underneath 4 of the 10 bolts from being over-tightened and one bolt was missing all together. When I took my car back to get an explanation I was told that I would have to pay another 70 dollars to find a replacement part on my own and they would "install it for free" even though they broke it in the first place. I went to a shop that was reviewed as "one of the last honest shops" in Johnson City, only to have my question turned into $230 worth of overcharges, replacing parts broken by their mechanics and to be treated like an idiot.
