No wonder this place is going out of business they are a total joke bait and switch company that marks items with a low price and then they come back and state that the item had the wrong price on it and want over 20% more and not just me another couple looking to purchase an item next to us came across the same bs. I'm glad they are biting the dust good bye so sad bye bye you total loser of a franchise!

Never dealt with a company that blames everything on the customer, argues with you and does nothing to fix an issue. Save yourself the money and headache later and buy somewhere else!!

Never spend a dime there!



I bought a $2300 sectional from a sales lady by the name of Metow. It was a special order and I was advised it would take 12 weeks. The set I ordered was to have 2 storage departments under the couch sections. She called me 4 weeks after I ordered and said the manufacturer doesn’t make the storage anymore, so we can discount this $200...Fine I said. 8 more weeks went by and I didn’t get a call, so I called them. They advised me that my furniture was in.



Once I got this home, The middle wedge piece was the incorrect size. I called American, it took 1.5 weeks to get a tech to my house to look at this. The tech said yes, it’s too small, we will have to re-order, and I will have your sales person call you.



Metow called me back and I started asking Q's, she got very snappy and rude, so I asked to talk to her manager.

Her manager was busy, so she said she would call me back.



I got a call back a few hours later from Suzanne which had the title “Furniture manager.” There was nothing they could do to make me happy. I advised that once this new piece would get in 12 weeks later, the rest of the couch cushions will be different from 12 weeks of wear and tear....she advised me, "YOU SIGNED THE DOCUMENTATION.." She said on the small print on your receipt all special orders would need to go back to the manufacturer…….Made me feel like garbage, basically saying “STUPID”…....really who reads all that, I went off of trust of the sales person……anyways OK, then she placed blame n the manufacturer, how is this my fault?????



I have spent nearly $12,000 at American in Johnston over the last 4 years, and I will be damned if they ever get another penny from me, my family, friends and hopefully anyone who reads this...........
