We had curtains for our deck made from painter drop cloths. Chong's Tailor did a superb job on this project. Highly recommended for sewing and alteration needs! Reasonably priced work!

Great Military tailoring service!! Brought my Dress Blues in to be hemmed and tailored along with some sewing on my ACU and I just love their professionalism!!

My fiancee went there to get her wedding dress altered and they kept telling her to come back in a week, then another week, and then another week. After all that they charged her extra for material that should have been included in original cost. Bad experience, no customer service, lies, unprofessional. Go somewhere else.

I have had an excellent experience at Chong's. She has beautifully tailored several of my pants, dresses, and jeans. She even turned a bridesmaid dress into a flowing chiffon skirt that I can actually wear again. Thrilled with all of my results. Do not hesitate in using her services. Communication may be mildly difficult at first, but she understands fit exceptionally well and is a master of her craft.

Owner had at first problem understanding what I needed, but when I gave her visual, she got my bridal dress done in 2 days, and price was not too high, plus she gave me 10% off, I finally found my spot for updating, and alternating my clothes. Yeahhh!!!!!!!

I had somewhat pleasant and surprised experience at Chong's. I came with my leather jacket to get my 4 buttons replaced, I wanted to tell her that I will come and pick it up tomorrow, but she told me to wait for 5-10 min if I had time, which I did, and she changed my bottoms, well in 15 minutes:), and get this; did not charged me for it. I wanted to pay the bill which was around $8.00+tax, but she did not even wanted to hear. Woow. I was very pleasantly surprised, plus she did a great job on the buttons. I still did not see her work on actual clothes, but judging by some reviews above I will consider going back!

Only reason I gave her 4 stars above is because I did not see her actual tailoring work on clothes! I always leave room for improvement:))

Simply the best in Des Moines, including surrounding areas. I went, visited, and did some work on my clothes at different tailor shops around; Beaverdale, Urbandale, and Johnston area, and Chong's Tailor not only meet my exact wishes on how I wanted my clothes to turn out, but they also got it done SAME DAY!!! I was also amazed by their work, and politeness. Owner is Vietnamese lady who I on moments had problems understanding, but her work did all the talking! I was amazed! I would highly recommend this place, mid-range prices, they work late so you can pick up clothes after work!
