my wife and I can walk to at least 3 different pizza places in 5 minutes or less, but we drive 10 minutes to famous pizza because it's just THAT GOOD! I am fairly new to the Johnston area so I did a search one night, found a very positive review and decided to give it a shot. we stayed save with plain cheese the first time, but just tried the chicken pizza as well and both were delicious! the crust is relatively thin and crispy (but not "hard"), the sauce is light, the toppings are plentiful and the cheese is, well...perfect. you won't be disappointed with famous pizza.

Its a 15 minute drive for me and my boyfriend..ONE WAY...to get this pizza from here...and we do it....whenever we crave pizza. The pepperoni and cheese pizza is spiced to perfection and the pepperoni curls when they cook it and forms saucers filled with oil and spices....lil shots of HEAVEN lol. We are actually two very young heatlthy people....but Famous Pizza turns us into gluttenous creatures and we look forward to every bite. Its worth the trip to this family owned pizza PALACE. We get a large....and eat the whole thing. We have never tried anything else on the menu because the pizza is PERFECT. Why stray from perfection??
