Steak N Shake

I have been to Steak N Shake 3 times now and every visit has been disappointing. The service is just terrible! We last went on 1-22-16. The server was very polite but he was just slow. We went with 2 kids, we asked him for crayons and it took him 20 minutes to bring them (food came out before the crayons) Pop refills took several minutes but the big disappointment was at the end when it was time to go. We ordered 4 shakes to go and it took 20 minutes for them to make them! Try keeping two young children occupied for twenty minutes while they are anxiously awaiting their shake! IT WAS NOT FUN!



If their food was great I could understand the delay but it's mediocre. I wanted to go to Portillo's But we went to Steak N Shake because it's where the kids wanted to go.



Fool me once, shame on you but fool me 3 times and I'm never going back!

It seems like every time I come here I have to wait between 10 to 15 mins before somebody would even come over to take your order. Funny too because it's never crowded but somehow the staff always seem to be MIA from serving you or taking your order. When you do finally place an order, expect to wait for 30-45 mins--from my experience anyway.
