Provided by YP.comI regret hiring this guy for a minor criminal matter. He charged a lot of money, didn't do much at all in 18 months (continuance after continuance). In fact, I had to tell him what he needed to do as it was common sense. He acted as if he was still the state's attorney, never felt like he was on my side. He gave a good dog and pony show during the initial consultation, called me his "friend" since I had known him for close to 20 years. He put me on an emotional roller coaster for 18 months. I eventually fired him as he would never return my calls, responded to only one of several emails. It was obvious by his response that he didn't even read my email. I hired another attorney who resolved the matter to my satisfaction within about 60 days by using a program that Tomczak never even mentioned to me! After I fired Tomczak he attempted to sabotage my case, but failed. He also sent me an invoice for an additional $7,500 which didn't make sense (and didn't hold up in court) because he charged a flat fee initially. Never pay an attorney a flat fee which includes trial because 99% of cases never make it to trial. My case never went to trial yet he kept the full amount that was paid up front!!
