Terrible experience

This was unfortunately my second trip to Dr. Monger. I had scheduled an appointments for a filling. I felt I had a few issues with my teeth and was in need of some work. The appointment was at two pm. When I arrived to the office a sign on the door informed me that they were out of the office until 2. At two fifteen the doors opened. The office staff was very rude and not informative as usual. The dental assistant recommended X-rays but dr monger simply looked at my tooth, and ignored any other potential problems. He began working on my filling. He seemed rushed. I believe he was attending to several people at once. When I left and tried to schedule a cleaning I was told it would be January before I could get in. When I got home after the numbing medicine wore off I was in severe pain and have been since. Do not under any circumstances go to Dr. Monger. Bad care from start to finish.

Bad service

I had scheduled my first office visit with Dr. Monger at 1000 W. Jackson Blvd, Suite 7, Jonesborough, TN 37659, on September 10, 2014. I arrived, and I submitted my Delta Dental card, and started to complete their forms. While I was completed the forms, the office manager yelled over the counter and said she needed my wife's social security number, and expected me to yell it back to her. I approached the counter, and said I do not give out social security numbers. I was told that she must have it, because Delta Dental requires that, no exceptions. I told her the numbers on the card, client number and subscriber ID and the State of Tennessee client name should be enough to submit a claim. She said in a firm loud voice that Delta Dental will only accept social security numbers. I requested that she call Delta Dental's toll free number and she refused. I left the office.I returned home and I called Delta Dental's customer service and they verified that the State of Tennessee uses the subscribers ID number for submitting claims. I contacted Dr. Mongers office and relayed that information to the manager and I asked to speak with Dr. Monger, and after a brief pause, I was informed that Dr. Monger did not want to speak with me and said I can go elsewhere, and that they will not submit claims to Delta Dental without the social security numbers.Go to another dentist unless you want to be treated like this

Dentist Critic

The front desk lady was incredibly rude, blunt, and obnoxious. As a potential patient I didn't even consider making an appointment after I introduced myself to her. She didn't greet me. All I could think of is if the front desk lady was this mean, I would hate to see what type of pain would be brought my way by the actual doctor! As the old saying goes, birds of a feather flock together, and if this doctor has an utterly mean, rude, and obnoxious front desk attendant I can only imagine what type of service he would provide for me in the back while cleaning my teeth! There are several other dentists in the area that will address a potential patients needs and concerns without being the wicked witch of the East! My dentist retired and I was in need of a new dentist, but I wouldn't step in there again if my life depended on it! If I could give this review a 0 star rating, I would. Upon first impression all I knew was that I never wanted to go any further than the front door after meeting her!
