Provided by YP.comBought a brand new Kubota, here in '14. We explained to Jim Anderson, our salesperson, at the time of purchase that a responsive and dependable service department was paramount in our purchase decision. He assured us that his service dept was first rate. It is not. Every time we needed service we were told to "bring in the tractor". We explained at the time of purchase and during every subsequent service call, that we didn't have a flat bed large enough to bring in such a large vehicle. It would often take weeks before they would get to us as they were always too busy and understaffed. Customer service is consistently bad. I called on a Monday to schedule a repair and was told by Marty that they "might" be able to have someone pick up our machine on Friday (they did not). When I called Jim Anderson to remind him of the assurance he gave us at the time of purchase he could not have been ruder, never let me speak and then hung up on me. Regret not buying a John Deere at Legacy.

Provided by YPmobileA couple of years ago, I visited Anderson's Car & Tractor in Joplin, Missouri to trade in my Kubota B5200 tractor and Kioti finish mower. When I arrived at the dealership, I waited several minutes to be waited on. A lady finally asked me if I needed any help. I said that I wanted to trade in the my tractor and finish mower. I then waited for several more minutes. Then the owner, Don Anderson, stormed past me without acknowledging my existence, went outside to quickly inspect what I wanted to trade in, came back inside the lobby and, without making any eye contact while walking rudely past me, said, "I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for your finish mower! It's been beat to ...! He then walked into his office. I was absolutely stunned by his crude and rude behavior and total lack of customer service skills. I was in shock and disbelief! I waited for a few minutes thinking that he would come out of his office to talk to me. He didn't. I then walked into his office and had a few words with him on how to treat his customers. I told him that I talked to his son - I think it was his son - about making a trade a couple of days earlier. His son was very kind and professional. I have no complaints about him. The owner replied, "Then why in the ... are you talking to me! It's his deal!" I left the dealership totally astounded at how I was treated! I was embarrassed, degraded and humiliated. It's apparent that the owner needed a lesson in manners. Mr. Anderson's inappropriate actions that day has cost his dealership a lot of business. I have intentionally gone out of my way on numerous occasions to spread negative word of mouth about Anderson's Car & Tractor. As a result of how the owner treated me, I purchased a new tractor at another Kubota dealership in the Four-State area. That dealership wanted my business and got it. Since that time, I have not done any business with the Joplin Kubota dealership. I recommend that you don't as well! Because of their close proximity to my home, I may do business with them again when the original owner is gone for good. In the meanwhile, I will stand my ground and drive several miles to service my new Kubota. I am 59 years old. I have a nice and pleasant demeanor. I am extremely easy to get along with; however, I am not a door mat! I do not have "kick me" written on my forehead or caboose! It's apparent that I do not appreciate the way I was treated. The owner needs to live by The Golden Rule.
