The Joplin Recycling Center is operated and fully owned by the City of Joplin. Currently all drop off items are accepted for free. The Center does not pay for items that are dropped off.

- Recycling Center accepts cardboard, newspapers, office paper, books, magazines, plastic bottles with necks, container glass, all metal, #2 plastic shopping bags, ink jet and toner cartridges, electronic waste, batteries, and cooking oil. Open to all regardless of residency.
