Provided by YP.comDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! COMPLETE SWINDLERS!
Contracted them to build a stamped concrete patio, which turned out completely unprofessional. It has 27 foot prints, is not consistent in color, has 5 foot prints in the concrete alone as though someone stepped in it while the concrete was still wet, there are rocks all the surface, and the edges are completely unfinished. After voicing my complaints, I am basically told to go pound sand. I am out $10K, I have filed with the MHIC, BBB, and district court to recoup my money. Wish me luck.

Provided by YP.comBeware of this company!
Justin came through our neighborhood on February 2nd. He used a sales pitch that I later discovered was a lie. He overpriced his quotes for different types of decks, then threw in some discounts to bring the price down. Part of the lie was that we would only get those discounts if we signed the contract that day. He also told us to lie to our neighbors and tell them the overpriced amount if they asked how much we paid.
Justin assured us that he likes to under-promise and over-deliver, so he promised our deck would be built no later than June although it would most likely be built in the spring. We regrettably let our guard down and signed the contract, believing what he said. (Beware of the fine print in the contract that allows them to get away with murder while the customer has no rights.) If I’d been thinking straight I would’ve gotten on the computer and looked up their BBB rating before signing. It’s currently a C-, although I don’t know how they have a grade above F. Justin sells a lie and he sells garbage. He portrays the company product as high quality on both material and construction, both of which are below average or mediocre at best.
For at least six weeks I was told by Matt that someone would be out “next week.” Someone finally came out in the middle of July to start the deck. After more than a week of working half days, he went on vacation without finishing the job. We refused to wait around for someone to keep their commitment of coming back so we finished it ourselves on July 23rd.
The wood they used is ugly and cheap. Sure, it’s pressure treated like they said it would be, but it’s full of knots and cracks. Water is going to sit in those knots and cracks and begin to rot. It will deteriorate much faster than quality wood.
We chose to have Chesapeake build our deck instead of building it ourselves to get it done faster and for the convenience of having a contractor take care of the design, permit, etc. Little did we know that the quality would’ve been much better, it would’ve been done faster, and it would’ve been less of a headache (and way cheaper!) had we just built it on our own.
I’ve left out many details about the nightmare we endured at the hands of Chesapeake Home Remodeling and Design. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
