Provided by YPmobileby far the best place to bring your fur babies. After moving from the Junction City area I discovered the difference in veterinary care immediately. Having a dog with multiple health issues I found out quickly what can go wrong using someone that lacks the experience and knowledge that Dr. Stenstrom has. I can honestly say that I have driven 16 hours to have this Doctor fix my dog. The whole staff put your animals first and are great at giving you the information you need to make educated decisions about the best treatment for your animal. They are upfront honest people who are in the buisness because of their love for animals.

Provided by YPmobileI don't usually leave reviews, but after yesterday's visit, I felt I needed to. I took my dog Rocky in to get seen for a bacterial infection. While I was there, I asked if they could trim his nails. He goes to a groomer usually, and does great with her, but she was unavailable today. The Dr. placed Rocky on the table and clipped the first nail. Rocky immediately began to howl, which he's never done before when getting his nails cut. The doctor continued to clip Rockys nails, all while rockys howls became increasingly louder. I looked over at Rockys feet, and noticed that there was blood coming out of each nail. I then asked him to stop cutting, because he was obviously hurting him. The doctor told me that he wasn't going to be stop, because Rocky was just throwing a tantrum, and that he was fine. At first, I believed him until I brought Rocky home and looked at his nails. On each nail, the quick was cut. The quick contains nerve endings and blood vessels, and if cut, it is extremely painful. The dr tried to make me believe that Rocky was just being aggressive, when really he was screaming because he was in pain!!I will never be going there again, and I suggest you don't either.

Provided by YPmobileDr Stenstrom and his staff honestly care about animals. Not only are they professional at what they do, but they also care and they are honest. Owning (a) pet(s) if you truly care about your pet(s) is not always a cheap 'hobby'. I'll call it 'hobby' for the lack of a better word. They always have time if I need to bring by our pet(s) in a short amount of time. They also honestly care about the pets they have there as well. Furthermore, Dr. Stenstrom will go out of his way to explain what is going on, if something isn't clear. I like this vet clinic; this includes Dr. Stenstrom, the staff, the clinic's own pets, the location, the clinic itself, the treatments and the atmosphere in the clinic. Last but not least, the prices are reasonable!

For years we trusted this Veterinarian with all of our pets but not anymore...Stenstrom intentionally held our dogs as hostages because we were 5min late, (on a 4 day holiday weekend with no staff!!) He also decided, after operating on our dog, to wait 2 weeks before telling us she had cancer. His logic - there isn't much you can do for her anyway!!!Some of the staff are great, others are just curt!!We rather drive to K State for veterinarian treatment, at least they WILL do all they can to help... Big step UP from Stenstrom...

Provided by YP.comThis is the best place to take your pet they were very friendly and they were willing to get my dog in the same day 45 mins before they closed and that was very awesome to hear that. Needless to say i wasn't going to make it time so i scheduled for the next day and when I took my dog there they were so nice to my dog buddy he was overly hyper and they just laughed and played with him while i waited for the test results and gave him treats. I am taking my other dog to them to get her shots...
PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS. Go to the vet and find out for yourself but I am very picky about vets and they will be my vet for any animal i decided to get...I have never heard of any abuse of an animal when i did a research except for the one person but that was the only one and well i don't hold much credit to that one why would they still be in business if they had abused an animal......I give them a A+++++++

Provided by YP.comWe took our kitten to get his vaccinations and neutering there. It cost $400!!! If I'd have known how much it would've cost (I was expecting $50-100 for the neutering), I would've gone somewhere else.

Provided by YP.comMy cat hat a urinal infection. I call every vet in town for a same day appt. Every one turn me away, I called this vet and explaind the urgency of the problem, not only did they squeezed me in between a appt. right away. They told me to be there in 30 min. When i whent there they where very buissy. I waited 5 min and was seen with my cat by a doctor. It was ecxellent care. And well worth the call, even after i read the first review and was scared to take my cat there.
People, DON`T belive everythig you hear or read. Find out for your self.
I was welcome friendly and with fast service.
Also my cat was treated very nice and no one hit or beat here. She was not the most well behaved cat in the world.
The doc took time to explain everithing to me.
My cat is feeling so much better and stoped her bad behavior peeing every where.
Awsome job, I will go there again in 2 weeks for a nother check up with my kitty to make sure she is fine.

Provided by YP.comif your pets are frightened by new people or nervous at all in new places (vet clinics), don't take them here. Animals tend to react when scared by nipping or growling (they aren't trying to be mean and they aren't aggressive, they just can't speak their fears so that is how they show you they are nervous or scared); here at this clinic if your dog or cat gets startled and reacts this way, he will be beat. If you don't agree with this, don't take your pets here. Dr. post does not do this, only Dr. stenstrom does, he has no patience with animals who are fearful or nervous. i hope you listen, this is your pet we're talking about.

I am very pleased with the service that I receive every time at the Animal Care Clinic. The facilities are clean and in excellent condition and the veterinarians are not only professional, but very friendly. I have never felt rushed and the vets would take the time to chat with me about my cat and to make sure that all my questions were answered.Recently, my cat had to undergo a laparotomy to remove a foreign body from his intestines. The vet knew right away that there was something wrong with my cat and made immediate recommendations. After the procedure (which was done at the K-State teaching hospital) I was delighted when the clinic called us to make sure that our cat was OK. The vets and wonderful staff at the Animal Care Clinic truly care about you and your pets.

Provided by YP.comWe have had several dogs that have visited Animal Care Clinic for services. We have been pleased each time. They are great with the animals and owners both on the phone for appointments and advice and also when you take them in for grooming or other services! I give them an A+!
