On the quiet side of Oahu

First off, you don't stay at the Turtle Bay to enjoy the beach, as the shore is very rocky and the modest strand to the east of the hotel isn't much to luxuriate on. However, the sunset views are amazing, and the pool deck has one of the best views on Oahu.

Most come here because the resort is far away from the crowds of Waikiki, with an immense, lush property. Fans of 'Lost' can literally get lost in the trails used for filming the many scenes of the hit TV show -- you'll clearly recognize the famous banyan trees. And the golf course and shoreline horse trails definitely draw the upper crust -- not to mention the heli-pad on the property. The resort isn't for Priceliners, for sure, but for those who appreciate quality.

It's not the Ritz Carlton but up here it may as well be. Old place but we'll maintained. Super nice and comfortable hotel room. All rooms have an ocean view. Some overlook the pool also. All have balcony.

Such a fun place with pool and beach and hiking and swimming and surfing. Friendly staff, well equipped gym with a water view. On my place around. And if you have a car go drive to some yummy cheaper food nearby

Ok it's an old place but maintained well. Great staff. All rooms of hotel have ocean view. Nice pool area and bar outside. Plenty of food option but understandably expensive.

This is the nicest place for many miles around by far. The beach here of great. Golf on premises. So pretty on this north shore.

If you're going to Hawaii with the family, you have to stay at the Turtle Bay Resort. It's right on the beach and quiet which is perfect for the family. It's located in North Shore so the only bad thing is if you want to visit the tourist areas it's bit of a distance.

Very disappointed. We received excuse after excuse from Liz. She had poor communication and never delivered on her promises. We are an active duty military family and having our wedding home in Hawaii but planning from Ohio where we are stationed. She has made the experience awful. She promised to have some mock up and ideas by Tuesday and we never heard from there. Then she promised Thursday. Never head back until I contacted her. She then sent a few pictures of the ugliest bouquets I have ever seen. Nothing like the photos we sent her. We told her exactly what we were looking for and wanted and she seemed to be not even on a close page. I wish I could post a side by side picture of what we sent her and what she sent back. I almost fell to the floor!
