If your child's health is important to you, and you want to be treated with respect and dignity, then stay away from this dentist! Michelle Kobayashi saw our son's mouth, and immediately decided that he needed 6 root canals, and multiple fillings (she wanted to use amalgams). His teeth were not bothering him at the time. Yes, he had cavities, but I was not in a huge rush to run out and put him under general anaesthesia (what she wanted to do), when we know that this has side effects (like death). When we tried to inquire about alternatives, she didn't offer any. When I asked why she would advocate putting mercury in a child's mouth that already has developmental delays, she said it was easier to work with. Really??? You want to put amalgams in my kids mouth b/c its easier for you? I'm confused why somebody so ignorant on children's health would be a dentist, and a children's dentist at that. The office staff at Pededontics gave me the run around when I wanted to see another dentist (Dr. Teruya). Evidently, he is the one to see, and also the one they don't want to set up appointments with. When I said I was unhappy with Kobayashi, they said that I should just go some place else then, that they wouldn't set up an appointment with another doctor. What kind of customer service is this? This is no way to treat parents and children.
