The best thing about Ray's on the Bay is the view! After that, service, food is very unpredictable. The menu seems odd for a resort hotel eatery in area so well known for local fish dishes. Everything is ala carte and not inexpensive. Service on our last visit was spotty, shared a salad but no second plate provided, no salt/pepper on table and when it was brought, the pepper mill didn't work...a little issue but indicative of the overall experience. This evening the fish dish was very good...however the NY strip steak was nearly half uneatable waste. Less than generous pours on glasses of wine and an odd selection on the wine list. All of that said, you walk onto a viewing area after dark and watch the magnificent Manta Rays come into the shallows to feed. Of course, you can do that without paying for a meal.

Have eaten at Rays many times, but last night it was awful! Overpriced, no real selection and rushed poor service for a $200 meal. No tip (first time for me as I usually tip 20%) as the service was really bad. I hope this doesn't become their new normal as it has always been good in the past. Food was ok but not really special for the price. Ambience just ok as the left many tiki torches unlit (maybe not functional, who knows?)
