Dr. MacDonald sees his career as a primary care provider as a way to help others live long, happy and healthy lifestyles, while focusing on preventative care. As a veteran and having the opportunity to provide care for the Marines, he has developed a passion for musculoskeletal injuries and working with other veterans and their unique needs.Dr. MacDonald loves to see his patients and gets satisfaction from helping people on a daily basis – something he learned early on from his family, as his father is a retired social worker and family therapist and his mother is a retired minister.Outside of the office, Dr. MacDonald volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Ministry with Community, and helps coordinate and volunteer with blood drives and food drives. When he isn’t busy working and volunteering, he enjoys cooking, gardening, canoeing, fishing and spending time with friends and family.I studied medicine in order to spend my life helping others. I feel it is my privilege to be able to help others, and I take pride in providing excellent care every day. I believe in the sacredness of the doctor-patient relationship, and understand that every patient has unique needs. Becoming a family medicine doctor is important to me, as it is a way to impact the wellness of the community in which we live.
