Warning- Be careful dealing with Hickory Management.

Keep all records of your money orders or checks when you deal with Hickory. Their office sometimes loses your rent money. Also they will try to pressure you into signing your lease early.

Their previous owner wouldn't repair until the government showed up. They don't really care for their tenants.

Their website isn't up to date and their places are a bit too pricey for how much they look inside and out even if they are downtown.

Their photos aren't up to date and show that people living in them but then again it might change since they have new owners.

Honestly, if I could rate this lower than a 1, I would. Worst management company in the Kalamazoo area. Not only are they completely irresponsible with the money given, they are terrible with customer service. As a renter, several of my roommates over paid on a few months thinking we would pay less on a few months and they never returned the money when we over paid. Now, at October (3 months after moved out), I am still waiting to receive my money when they owed me this money in July. I DO NOT recommend paying through their website. Once you move out, they will continue to charge your account and will NOT refund the money back to you. Their tenant agreement is unfair and they will try to charge you on every little thing weather or not your housemates did any damage to the place. Extremely bad at maintenance requests. In fact, they are so bad, they wait a full year to fix a dishwasher and cabinet and expect us to pay for a damaged cabinet that had been there the day move in. Overall, not true to their word. Extremely dishonest people. Please, help yourself and do not rent from them. There are many other places in Kalamazoo that are more affordable and do a better job renting places out.

Do not rent anything from this company! They will promise you everthing will be in good condition and kept up ! WRONG ! they cant keep a good maintenance staff. The owner will rip you off at every chance he can ! Go somewhere else to rent !!!

Beware - don't rent from Hickory! They will trump up charges for fake repairs, threaten lawsuits and refuse to substantiate charges against your security deposit (you will not get it back). There are plenty of places to rent - stay away from this place.
