Mary Alice knew in high school that she wanted to follow in her mom’s footsteps and become a nurse. She thought she would like to work in pediatrics, until she saw her first birth. As a certified nurse-midwife, Mary Alice loves getting to support women during their pregnancies and births. She is also passionate about providing contraceptive education and support during pregnancy to teens.During the summers, Mary Alice likes camping with her husband and spending time gardening. She also enjoys sewing and doing needlepoint.When I go to work, I see an opportunity to provide quality care that positively impacts my patients. Providing education and support that enables them to make informed decisions is a big part of healthcare. I also want them to feel that I see them as an individual with specific needs and concerns. They are part of the healthcare team.
