Mike has always had a strong interest in surgery. He feels that the procedures he performs directly improve the patient. “It’s much different than treating blood pressure and seeing a number change. Someone can walk in with a problem and walk out with a set of sutures and their problem is gone.” The immediate change provides patients with a sense of success and provides Mike with a sense of accomplishment. He has a special interest in soft tissue lesion removal and treatment as well as complex post-surgical care. In his time away from the practice, Mike likes to participate in outdoor sports and athletics. He plays on a co-ed softball team, enjoys boating and water sports, likes to do woodworking and house projects but most of all enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.The practice of surgical medicine has been an amazing way to positively impact the lives of my patients while deriving a great sense of satisfaction from my career.
